Tomáš Popelka

Researcher

Tomáš Popelka has over 20 years of experience in IT security and currently serves as an IT Development Manager at Monet+.

In this role, he leads a dedicated business unit of development, operations, and QA professionals, balancing strategic management with deep technical involvement in software architecture. He specializes in high-assurance secure identification systems and authentication services, playing a key role in national-level projects such as the production of travel documents for the Czech Republic.

His technical expertise encompasses Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), mobile authentication, and embedded technologies including GlobalPlatform and JavaCard.

Anežka Pejlová

Researcher

Anežka Pejlová is a Security Architect and Team Leader of the RECS (Research and Education in Cryptography and Security) team at Monet+. She specializes in cryptography, multi-factor authentication, network security, and mobile application security.

As an ambassador for post-quantum cryptography (PQC), she defined the organization’s migration strategy to PQC in 2024, oversees its internal implementation, and manages PQC consulting projects for the company’s customers. Her key achievements include building a specialized internal security and cryptography team and implementing a corporate threat modeling program.

She actively bridges the gap between business and academia and participates in several national and international projects. Her technical expertise includes designing RASP solutions for mobile applications and consulting on cryptography and security topics for the financial sector (e.g., FIDO security characteristics, PSD2 RTS requirements).

Libor Dostálek

Researcher

Libor Dostálek serves as an Information Technology Architect at Monet+, where he specializes in high-level security and identity projects.

His expertise focuses on the turnkey delivery of Trust Service Providers (eIDAS) and the implementation of Time Stamping Authorities. He is a specialist in remote qualified electronic signatures and the Signature Activation Module (SAM), recognized as a Qualified Signature Creation Device (QSCD) under EU standards.

In addition to his industry role, Libor is a university teacher at the Faculty of Information Technology of the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT). He lectures on the Administration of Computer Networks and Services, delivering instruction in both English and Czech, and bridges advanced industry practice with academic education.

Tomáš Faikl

Researcher

Tomáš Faikl is a Security Analyst in the RECS team at Monet+. He holds dual Master’s degrees in Mathematical Physics and Computer Security from the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT).

Tomáš specializes in post-quantum cryptography and quantum protocols, drawing on his academic background and previous experience as a Cryptographer at the Cybersecurity Hub. With over seven years of experience in secure software development, his technical expertise covers Python, C++, and Linux administration. His professional background also includes a research internship at CERN and advanced studies in Deep Learning at the Arctic University of Norway.
