Cybernetica
Tallinn, Estonia
Cybernetica develops future-proof technologies for secure digital societies. The company is recognized as the architect of e-Estonia — the world’s leading e-state — and acts as a catalyst for digital transformation in over 40 countries across almost every continent. Since its establishment in 1997, Cybernetica has played an instrumental role in shaping Estonia’s digital future. One of its most notable contributions is the creation of X-Road, Estonia’s secure data exchange system, which enables public and private sector organizations to share data safely, forming the backbone of the country’s digital society. Another key achievement is SplitKey, a breakthrough electronic identity solution for authentication and digital signatures compliant with EU regulations. Alongside Internet voting, privacy technologies, tax and customs solutions, and maritime situational awareness systems, these innovations have positioned Cybernetica as a pioneer in turn-key e-governance solutions.
Beyond e-governance, Cybernetica is an expert in cryptography and cybersecurity, particularly in the defense domain. The company has participated in numerous European Defence Fund projects and collaborated with the European Space Agency, contributing to the development of resilient military ecosystems secure in cyberspace.
Cybernetica maintains partnerships with globally renowned organizations, including the European Commission, DARPA, EBRD, OECD, Valid, and the Tony Blair Institute, among others.
